I started as a graduate at Power-Packer 20 years ago after which I moved into my first job as a Quality Engineer. In this role I was exposed to the entire organization and its processes, which was an indication of what would follow. During my time at Power-Packer I worked in pretty much every functional area. I have held roles as a team leader in Production, Logistics Leader, and on the commercial side of our organization as Key Account Manager, Project Manager and Business Developer. Later on I have been involved in roles focusing on Continuous Improvement and Lean for Actuant Corporation, the holding that owns Power-Packer. Currently I hold a role as EMEA Operations Leader for the business segment we call Engineered Solutions.
My motto is ‘Ordem e progresso’, the slogan on the Brazilian flag. This means I have positive mindset and continuously seek for improvement and new challenges. Through customer and supplier visits and development of my own knowledge, and maybe more important: drive and commitment. I am convinced that these qualities will lead to success in whatever you do.
In all of my jobs I faced new challenges, every day, every month and every year. Challenges that kept me on my toes and required creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and teamwork, often in an international setting. This requires an effort to develop myself, personally and professionally. Power-Packer has given me the opportunity to do so and I took the chances I got.
What attracts me in Power-Packer as an employer is the dynamic and international environment I am working in, but also the industry we are working in. I am proud to be part of a company creating products that enable tilting the cabin of trucks and ensure the roof tops of convertibles to be opened and closed.
Every day at Power-Packer is different, and you will face and tackle new and exciting challenges every day. This diversity is what I like most about my job as a Sales Support Manager. Yesterday I was coordinating a project for a change improving products we sell to our customers (project coordination and change management), today I am analyzing the projections of our future sales (forecast management) and tomorrow I will visit one our international customers (customer relation management).
This variety also applies to the people I work with. On a daily basis I interact with both customers and colleagues situated all over the globe. This means there is a balance between working for both external (OEM’s and tiers) and internal customers (national and international colleagues).
If you are flexible, like a challenge and have a drive to make impact, Power-Packer is definitely the company for you!
After finishing a MBA degree in 2010 I started at Power-Packer as a Trainee in the Marketing department. The last 7 years working at Power-Packer have been an enriching experience for me, both personally as professionally. As a Marketing Communications Manager, I coordinate the different marcom strategies and tactics at the company, work on creating brand awareness, and manage the different marketing assets. Power-Packer is a company that continuously looks to have a clear understanding of its customers and markets globally, therefore, forming a solid foundation for our marcom strategy becomes essential.
As an expat, coming from Bolivia, it is inspiring to work in an international environment because new insights thrive due to the diversity of people, ideas and perspectives.
My career has been evolving at Power-Packer and this gave me the opportunity to grow as a marketing professional. Thanks to the daily challenges and opportunities presented in our department I had the opportunity to execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that reinforce and build brand image and generate leads, explore the latest digital marketing trends and expand my skills in Dutch language. Multiple opportunities are available within the company for personal and professional development, which for me is a key driver for accomplishment, contribution, inner motivation and strengthening employee empowerment.
